Home Tour with vintage treasures

As an interior lover, I’m always looking for things in my home that I can change… Sometimes I get a little tired of myself but it’s also so much fun! I’m constantly telling myself “when I change this or that, it will be finished!”. But I’m afraid that moment will never come 😉 I guess it’s part of being creative right? And we’re surrounded by beautiful inspiration through magazines, Social media and Pinterest! Anyhow, we’ve made a couple of changes in our home again. We took a short trip to Belgium during our holiday and we stayed in this lovely apartment in Antwerp! We rented a little bus & we made a tour visiting a lot of Thrift Shops. Luckily Evert is starting to appreciate this Thrift Shop thing that I have more and more. He spotted some beautiful things! It’s great to do things like that together…

We found this cupboard as well and I decided to paint it pink, I’m in love with it! The rattan chair I bought a while ago at the thrift shop in my home town. The magazine rack I made from leather straps, you can find a lot of tutorials on Pinterest for this!

We also found this vintage dresser in Belgium (Evert spotted this one) and we thought it would look perfect in our living room! When I made my Plant Gang for a Urban Jungle Bloggers poster earlier, I loved my plants all together & decided to keep it this way. The terrarium I bought at the garden center.

I’m still very happy with our new hanging lamp from Habitat above the dining table! I think the origami effect is beautiful… The white retro vase is also a souvenir from Belgium. I’ve always had a thing for ceramics but lately I’ve developed another thing for retro vases and pottery, I love the shapes & the patterns!

The Flamingo poster was a gift for my birthday, it’s now in our bedroom together with this mixture of accessories. I’m eager to get started on a project for our bedroom that I have in mind… I’ll let you know when it’s ready but I can assure you it will be different! The kelim in our dressing room is a souvenir from the Dutch festival Pinkpop, I’m in love with the colours! The calendar (which is on the wrong month but the print is awesome!) is from Darling Clementine and the cute cacti postcards are from the talented Dutch illustrator Ingrid with her brand Teken-ing, aren’t they adorable?!

Don’t forget; you Dutchies can still winn 2 tickets to the superfun Snor Festival here!
