As promised I would show you the rest of our updated bathroom as well… I’ve tried to turn it into a little green oase of peace and I must say, this space feels quite peaceful and relaxing! For Flexa I got to test their cleanable / scrubbable paint (Flexa Expert Muurverf) and I decided to use it on our bathroom ceiling. We still had to paint the ceiling since we moved in but as you can imagine, we kept postponing it. Painting a ceiling is not one of my favourite things to do… However, I’m very happy I did it anyway because it gives our bathroom a complete new look! As you might know, I’m a big pastel fan so I chose this fresh minty colour that in Dutch is called “Vleugje Branding”. I think this colour is very suitable for a ceiling because it’s very subtile and light. The Flexa Expert paint is also very appropriate for kitchen walls, hallways or the walls in your children’s rooms. When these walls get dirty you won’t have any problem getting them clean again!
To complete the new look of our bathroom, I used a couple of plants. They give me energy and a smile on my face when I start the day in here! Also, they are getting lots of daylight and moisture so it’s a win win situation! The wooden and wicker details add some extra nature to it all and I think together with the plants they are a nice counterpart to the modern design of the bathroom. The hanging planter I bought last year at the Brainydays shop, the bamboo shelf is also an oldie that I found years ago at Van dijk en Ko in Amsterdam. The little aqua box is from Ikea and the candle “Tallow” is designed by Ontwerpduo.
