A couple of weeks ago, I received a little gift at home from Sostrene Grene with a note that a goodie bag was waiting for me in one of their stores… One week later I went to pick it up together with my friend (who is also a big Sostrene lover!) and we did some extra shopping while we were there… Whenever I go to a Sostrene Grene store, I never leave empty handed! This is not a sponsered post by the way, I just thought it would be nice to write a blog about my awesome goodie bag! I remember I discovered this brand when I was on a shopping trip in Kopenhagen for work. Back then we didn’t have any Sostrene stores in Holland. My colleague said: “Marij, this is a perfect store for you, you’ll love it!”. Well, she was right… A couple of years later, the first Sostrene Grene store in Holland opened in Groningen. I was pretty excited and remember one day me and that same friend drove to Groningen for a day of shopping, but actually just wanted to go to that one Sostrene shop in Holland! Now many more shops have opened their doors in Holland and I still love to go there for some nice wrapping paper, stickers, accessories and lovely home decor.
The goodie bag was filled with a wooden bread board, cute napkins, two very pretty mugs & a jug, a wooden spoon and some sweets. I immediately thought of the book Hygge that I was reading during our holiday… If you know the book, you’ll understand why. It’s about enjoying the little things and making your life and especially your home warm and cosy. Scandinavian people are experts in that field & I do like some hygge myself! I made myself my favourite drink, chai tea with honey and soy milk, and gave myself a little break. Thank you Sostrene Grene!
